WinX HD Video Converter for Mac Giveaway

WinX HD Video Converter for Mac Icon

Today was the third Sunday of June, which means it was father’s day around the world. I made sure to contact my father and wish him a happy father’s day and let him know that he is appreciated. Sophia from WinX contacted me again and let me know that they are promoting their new converter software by giving it away on father’s day. Just by looking at the specs, this video converter can just about convert any file (it even supports Blu-ray .mts, m2ts files) to any output including preconfigured outputs for media devices (iPhone, iPad, Sony PS3,  Xbox 360, Zune HD, Blackberry, etc). It has the a similar interface as their other software, so if you have used any of their software it should be familiar. I think the Icon is really snazzy and reflects well with OS X’s great icon design. I would suggest that the interface be made more Mac like as reminds me of boilsoft applications on Windows. I know this application will come in handy because I do a lot of converting, especially when devices don’t support specific HD containers such as MKV.

Call of Duty: World at War 1.07 Update

I don’t play much ps3, but when I do I play Call of Duty: World At War. Today I was notified that there was an update which I installed. I was hoping that this would fix the connection issues in zombies mode. Not only did it fix them, but the levels are much longer now. And aiming is much harder or maybe that’s a glitch. Now I am thinking should I get Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2?

Uncharted: Drakes Fortune

Uncharted Drakes Fortune

This is a great new game for Ps3. Its a adventure first person shooter, that is seriously one of the best games of all time. I’ve only played it for a couple of hours, however it is indeed very amusing. How you ask? Well its certainly more realistic than most games, yes it is not 100% realistic in the amount of shots it takes to kill you, but its very realistic in every other sense. Also the graphics are truly astounding and make this game a visual treat. Another tiny detail that i really thought added to the realism is when you die, the game actually shows what happened exactly, not just another generic cut scene like in most games. Thanks to Hassan who bought this game and was very eager about it, or else i would not have known about it. This game came out on the 19th in Canada, supposedly though it was scheduled for the 20th so we picked it up a day early and didn’t face any “sold out” issues. I seriously believe that this game has set a new level for gaming, like max payne did on pc some years ago.
