No Problem Mike, I wanted the 3gs, I couldn’t get it on contract here anyways because I had just started one back in December. If I bought it here it would have cost me around the same price anyways. However I wanted the factory unlocked model so I don’t have to deal with locking after an update.
very true, hope your enjoying it. I brokedown and picked up the 3g shortly after my 2g died. Turns out 2 weeks later they announced the 3gs! I should have waited, oh well
what web site did you buy off in the end? and also how much did you pay for it?
Hey Tom, I ended up buying it from the hong kong eBay site (eBay.com.hk) and it cost me 7,350 hkd with insured shipping. That came out to $1,053 CAD. If I was to get a locked one locally it would have cost about the same amount.

What about the language and settings and such? And would a charger bought from Europe work with the iPhone? I was thinking of getting the 4..
Yes, the language and settings would work no matter where you use it. As for the charger it would work, you might just have to buy an adaptor to make the plug work.
